Our Future Stars!

The King James Shooting Stars Classic was held the weekend of April 22 – 24, 2016 in Akron, Ohio. I attended the Classic, with a College Bound basketball team from Buffalo. It was an exciting weekend with over 100 teams participating from just about every state in the U.S. There were 10 Divisions with players ranging in age from 8 to 17 years old, playing in venues all over the city.

College Bound had two divisions – 4th and 6th Graders –that competed that weekend. The 4th Graders did good for their first time in the AAU. The College Bound 4th Graders lead by Jaden Lewis and Sherrad Bennard III came in 3rd Place.  The College Bound 6th Graders lead by Romeo Bell, Jahan Perry, Jr. and Massai Graham came in 4th Place. It was the 6th Graders second AAU trip.

All in all, the kids had a great experience seeing where LeBron James got his roots in basketball.  I, along the Head Coach Sherrad Bennard and Assistant Coaches Jason Brostko and David Bell, were proud of the boys and look forward to our next trip
