Desiree Wiley to Leave Channel 7 for Boston Cable Network
Desiree Wiley, the lovely 25-year-oldChannel 7 News Reporter who has graced the local airwaves for the past 3 years, will be leaving Buffalo to take a position with the New England Cable Network in Boston. Ms. Wiley, who holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Buffalo State College, started at Channel 7 in August of 2013 as a traffic and entertainment reporter. Wiley has held four titles through the Miss America Organization and was named first-runner up at Miss New York in 2014 and 2015
She recently became engaged to David Fluellen Jr., who, like Wiley, is from Lockport , star running back at the University of Toledo, Fluellen is now a member of the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. Wiley wrote on Twitter in March that she and Fluellen both went to Lockport High School, reconnected nearly three years ago and hope to get married in July of 2017.
Wiley joined Channel 7 almost three years ago as a multimedia journalist and has had numerous roles at the station since then. Her hiring only a year out of college had become a trend in local TV, after decades of requiring reporters to get seasoning in smaller markets out of town. Congratulations Desiree!
